Bilbao Guggenheim revisited

Earlier this year I posted about Frank Gehry's Bilbao Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain. Later, Neki of A movable feast, sent me a link to some of her own photos of the Bilbao museum. This is one of hers that I particularly like,

and hope to someday create a quilt inspired by the graceful lines, and the form and reflection seen in her photo.

More recently, on a whim, I did a flickr search on "Bilbao Guggenheim" and got back over 8,000 hits. Wow. Photos of this building never cease to fascinate me. I see a beautiful fiber art composition in so many of them, whether close ups or shot from farther away. There is so much to work with in each photograph. In my wandering I also happened to trip over this flickr pool of Frank Gehry's Architecture which boasts piles of sumptuous shots of many Gehry buildings by photographers from all over the world. Definitely worth a browse. And finally, while browsing from one thing to another, I came full circle and happened across Linda Levin's Bilbao inspired quilts.

I LOVE Frank Gehry's work, just saw my first of his in NY this winter....it blew my mind to see this post and your talking about seeing fiber art composition in these, can't wait to see what you come up with.
Also can't wait to check the links when my WIFI gets fixed!
