I took it to a crit group and one woman suggested circles in black thread. Later, I played around with an image of the quilt in a graphics program, tried some different things and liked the effect I got with partial concentric circles centred on one corner. When the machine stitching was done the effect seemed a bit flat and I added the hand stitching to soften it up, to add depth, and to break the rigidity of the black parallel lines.juanita simhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04728867576527800494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500451268084799199.post-13258845578131318502008-04-13T15:32:00.000-05:002008-04-13T15:32:00.000-05:00I really like this quilt janita! I'm curious did you know how you wanted to stitch the top from the get-go or did you come to the decision after looking at the top for awhile?alsokaizenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02981889669330138547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500451268084799199.post-87576409011300420642008-04-11T08:57:00.000-05:002008-04-11T08:57:00.000-05:00Thanks everyone, your feedback is a lovely gift. Thanks everyone, your feedback is a lovely gift.juanita simhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04728867576527800494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500451268084799199.post-29300941021490442112008-04-05T08:19:00.000-05:002008-04-05T08:19:00.000-05:00this i beautiful study in color and i love the sim...this i beautiful study in color and i love the simplicity of it.it works so well. bravo!judehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08093892425910458016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500451268084799199.post-10995425180370725252008-04-04T17:24:00.000-05:002008-04-04T17:24:00.000-05:00Wow!
